2010 in review

Personal

I just realized that I have posted about 3 posts in the new year, without wishing everyone a very happy new year. So, here it is(although a wee bit late), 'Happy New Year Everyone'. Hope all of you have a great time this year and get to fulfill your dreams for 2011.

New years are very pensive affairs for me. I reminisce a lot about the events of the year gone by, rather than celebrate the dawn of a new year. But, then the more I reminisce the more reasons to celebrate.

Anyway, all philosophy aside: 2010 turned out to be a great year for me. And one of the great things that happened in 2010 was the fact that I started "Oh Taste n See". I hope it is as much fun and learning for you as it is for me.

Here are some stats that I had gotten from Wordpress this morning that made me go about with a big smile on my face all day today.

WordPress.com mulled over how this blog did in 2010, and here's a high level summary of its overall blog health:

The Blog-Health-o-Meterâ"¢ reads Wow.

Crunchy numbers

This blog was viewed about 23,000 times in 2010.

In 2010, there were 239 new posts, not bad for the first year! There were 730 pictures uploaded, taking up a total of 2gb. That's about 2 pictures per day.

The busiest day of the year was December 3rd with 274 views. The most popular post that day was Announcing 'Flavors of Goa' Event.

Where did they come from?

The top referring sites in 2010 were onehotstove.blogspot.com, 17andbaking.com, facebook.com, superyummyrecipes.blogspot.com, and draft.blogger.com.

Some visitors came searching, mostly for ohtastensee, poosanikai kootu, cucumber onion salad, coconut ladoo, and pallipalayam chicken.
